Jakarta Govt Receives 499 Land Certificates by Rp 22.2 Trillion

The Jakarta government received 499 Land Use Right Certificates (SHP) from the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) at the Great Hall building, Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (6/24).

Today, we received a 499th anniversary gift from the ATR/BPN

The certificates are designated for parks, roads, educational and healthcare facilities, government offices, official residences, places of worship, sports facilities, community centers (SKKT), and other public utilities. Covering a total area of 85 hectares, the land is valued at Rp 22.2 trillion.

The handover of these certificates also serves as a special gift for Jakarta's 499th anniversary.

Legislator Calls for Collective Effort to Guard Public Assets

"Today, we received a 499th anniversary gift from the ATR/BPN. There are exactly 499 certificates, valued at Rp 22.2 trillion and covering approximately 85 hectares," he said.

Pramono emphasized that for Jakarta, this certification is more than just an administrative matter; it is about providing a guarantee of legal certainty for regional assets.

This administrative order and legal certainty will assist the Jakarta government in implementing various programs and policies.

"Hence, we in the Jakarta government also feel more at ease because this serves as our foundation in many matters," he explained.

Prior to this, the Jakarta government secured 3,922 Land Use Right certificates valued at roughly Rp 102 trillion. This brings the total value of city assets certified within the past two months to approximately Rp 124.2 trillion.

"I would like to express our gratitude once again on behalf of the Jakarta government," he continued."

Agrarian and Spatial Planning Deputy Minister and the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Deputy Head, Ossy Dermawan, stated that the handover of these certificates to the Jakarta government reflects the state's commitment to establishing orderly, modern, and accountable public asset management.

The ATR/BPN Minister emphasized that certifying these government assets ensures legal security for both national and local properties, shielding them from potential land-related legal cases.

"Even properties with existing certificates can sometimes be challenged, Mr. Governor; it is even more precarious for those that remain uncertified," he added.

Additionally, the certification aims to mitigate risks to state finances by fostering more accountable and transparent management under a clear legal framework.

He hoped that certifying these state and local government assets would pave the way for optimized asset utilization, ultimately driving prosperity for Jakarta's residents.

"Hence, we at the ministry always welcome the good faith efforts of local governments to secure their regional assets," he explained.

As a city with a strategic role, he added, Jakarta will serve as an example for other regions in implementing land administration governance.

Currently, 98.6 percent of land plots in Jakarta are officially registered, and more than 80 percent of them have been certified.

"This is a significantly progressive achievement compared to other regions across Indonesia," he emphasized.

Ossy also called for closer collaboration between the Ministry of ATR/BPN and the Jakarta government to enhance land-related public services.

At the same event, the Jakarta government honored seven institutions with awards, recognizing their vital roles and contributions in securing regional assets via the land certification process.
